On Monday evening, June 5th, at the Amazing Things Arts Center in Framingham, a small enthusiastic group of BoSox members and non-members gathered. Prior to the featured speakers, Dave Hornfisher, a BoSox Club member, gave an introduction of the history of the Arts Center. Red Sox poet laureate, Dick Flavin, then opened the program by reciting a number of his baseball rhymes, which were enjoyed by all. Bill Nowlin followed Dick by speaking of his time growing up around Fenway Park which led to his writing of over 25 books on the Red Sox. His stories brought many memories for everyone. The evening concluded with Herb Crehan doing his power-point presentation based on his most recent book, "The Impossible Dream, 1967 Red Sox, Birth of Red Sox Nation". Herb was able to bring back many moments of the 1967 season for everyone to relive. An anniversary cake to celebrate the 50 years for the '67 team and beginning of the BoSox Club in that magical year was then shared by all.
