Tom has cracked the top 10 all-time at St. Anslem College in strike-outs and ERA, and 9th all-time in batting average. Recognizing his leadership, his teammates have elected him as a captain for the coming year. He had 75 strikeouts in 2015, and was MVP this past season. Tom started playing baseball with his father at the age of 4. His team of 9 year-olds won the state tournament in 2004. During his senior year of high school he was recognized by New Hampshire as the Baseball Player of the Year.
Since 2007, the BoSox Club has been presenting the Dom DiMaggio Scholarship each year to a deserving St. Anselm College (Manchester, NH) baseball or softball student athlete. Award finalists are nominated by St. Anselm and the BoSox Club chooses the recipient based on a number of criteria, including financial need, scholastic merit and of course, participation in either baseball or softball. The Scholarship was first created to honor Mr. DiMaggio as one of the Club's Founding Fathers and its first President. St. Anselm College was the natural beneficiary since Mr. DiMaggio had such a personal affinity for the school, having served on the board of trustees beginning in 1979, and working with two school presidents during periods of expansion and development.
