Authors Speaking Event ~ June 5!

A joint Q&A will follow with Dick, Bill and Herb to close out the evening as we cut the 50th anniversary cake.  ADMISSION IS FREE, DONATIONS WILL BE ACCEPTED.  REFRESHMENTS AND BOOKS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE.  BoSox Club Members will be eligible for door prizes.  Limited Seating - LIMITED SEATING - Limited Seating.  The Amazing Things Arts Center is located at 160 Hollis Street in Framingham, MA.  The event will run from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.  Doors Open at 6:30 pm.  For more information, please call Chuck Beauregard, BoSox Membership Director, at 781-640-1041.

BIOGRAPHIES

BILL NOWLIN was born in Boston and still lives fairly near Fenway, in Cambridge. He is the author of twenty-five Red Sox related books. In 2004 Nowlin was elected Vice President of the Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) and is a board member of the BoSox Club. Among the books that Bill has written are, The 1967 Impossible Dream Red Sox, Day by Day with the Boston Red Sox and his most recent, The 1986 Boston Red Sox.

HERB CREHAN, a recognized authority on Boston baseball history and the publisher of www.bostonbaseballhistory.com, is in his 22nd season as a contributing writer for the Boston Red Sox. He has written well over 135 feature articles for the team's official program. Crehan speaks extensively on Boston baseball history, including  appearances at the National Baseball Hall of Fame in Cooperstown, NY, WBZ radio and numerous Society for American Baseball Research (SABR) meetings.  Herb is a long-time member of the BoSox Club. His most recently released book is The Impossible Dream 1967 Red Sox: Birth of Red Sox Nation, and he is also the author of Lightning in a Bottle: The Red Sox of '67.

DICK FLAVIN is the poet laureate and senior ambassador of the Boston Red Sox and voice of Fenway Park, serving as public address announcer for all Red Sox day games.  His TV commentaries won seven New England Emmy Awards, he is a nationally known speaker, and is a member of the Massachusetts Broadcaster's Hall of Fame.  Dick's most current book is Red Sox Rhymes, Verses and Curses. Dick is a long-time member of the BoSox Club.  He lives in Quincy Massachusetts.
